CHRISTIAN KÜCHLER

Born on Lake Constance, Christian Küchler has lived and worked in Zurich since 1985. He describes himself as an independent artist. He feels independent and free from contemporary, academic and ideological dogmas, as well as free from economic practices and constraints. He also does not see his art as a political tool. Only observation and working with the human senses are important to him. He does not feel obliged to spectacle and mass entertainment and considers self-dramatization to be less important than the product of his work.
For several years he has been exhibiting his work on irregular and rare occasions, usually achieving good to very good sales of his works. He is happy that he does not have to earn a living from his work and remains free to create so-called primary works again and again.
His buyers, as he himself notes, are characterized by a common denominator. Namely, that they were and are consistently experienced in life and love freedom. As a rule, contrary to the current zeitgeist, they are also happy to be the proud owners of a unique item with which they consciously furnish their immediate surroundings.
